About

Understanding catalysis.
Building new possibilities.

Hiang Kwee Lee is a Nanyang Assistant Professor at Nanyang Technological University. The group combines chemistry, nanotechnology, materials science and operando spectroscopy to advance nanocatalysis through three connected themes: concentrating energy, manipulating chemical microenvironments and developing multifunctional catalytic interfaces for sustainable energy and environmental applications. Before joining NTU, Hiang Kwee was a postdoctoral scholar at Stanford University under the Singapore Teaching and Academic Research Talent (START) scheme, working with Prof. Yi Cui. Hiang Kwee obtained a Ph.D. in Chemistry from NTU in 2018 and a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from NTU in 2013.
